Inside the Homestead you’ll find a large living area multiple open fires and panoramic views of Lake Wanaka and the mountains. A sprawling farmhouse kitchen, cosy dining room, and media and games room complete the main lodge.

The four well-appointed Ridgeline Suites each sleep up to two people with king-split beds and ensuites with baths. The Ridgeline Suites all boast wonderful views of Lake Wanaka and the surrounding mountains or the stables and Motatapu Valley. The entire lodge is also available on an exclusive-use basis for up to 12 guests with use of all four Ridgeline Suites and the Komako family bunkroom with four luxurious bunk beds.
Mahu Whenua offers several privately guided on-site activities including horse trekking, hiking, heli-skiing and mountain biking. A favourite experience is the 4-wheel-drive excursion which leaves from the Homestead and takes guests all the way through to Arrowtown without even leaving the property! For those who enjoy more sedentary activities, options include on-site cooking classes with Mahu Whenua's chef, riverside picnics, spa services or a scenic helicopter flight. Off-site,Wanaka and Queenstown offer many activities including: golf, hunting, fishing, jet boating or skiing at the many nearby ski areas.
