The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs
Set on 6,000 acres near the Bay of Islands in Northland, The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs affords spectacular 180 degree views of the Championship Golf Course and Pacific Ocean. Cape Brett and the offshore Cavalli Islands are part of the panorama which can be viewed from the verandas, lounge and dining room. Kauri Cliffs is a sister property to Cape Kidnappers and Matakauri Lodge.
The main lodge consists of a spacious beamed living room, meeting room, card room, fitness centre, spa and small computer room. Gourmet a la carte dining is available in the main dining room or on the verandas. The par 72 championship golf course measures 7,119 yards/6,510 metres and offers four sets of tees to challenge every skill level.
Fifteen holes view the Pacific Ocean, six of which are played alongside cliffs, which plunge to the sea. The beautiful inland holes wind through marsh, forest and farmland. Other amenities include two Astroturf tennis courts and a heated outdoor infinity swimming pool with Jacuzzi. A new Spa nestled in a Totara forest contains four treatment rooms, sauna, indoor heated lap pool, jacuzzi and a fully equipped fitness centre. 22 Suites are comprised of 14 Deluxe Suites, 2 Deluxe Family Suites and 6 Suites, along with a two-bedroom Owner’s Cottage. The suites are nestled on the edge of a native forest overlooking the ocean and golf course. Each offer their own private porch, comfortable bedroom with sitting area and open fireplace, walk-in wardrobe and bathroom.
